In short

To add a logo to a video in Vaideo Editor, upload the video and your logo as a PNG, put the logo on a layer above the video and stretch it to the end. Then set “Scale”, “Position” and “Opacity” in the right panel, or drag it into a corner in the viewer. You export an MP4 up to 1080p for free, and Vaideo adds no mark of its own to your footage.

Which logo file to use

Use a PNG with a transparent background. That way only the logo artwork shows over the video, without the white box you get with a JPG. If your designer sent an SVG or a PDF, export it to a PNG at least 500 pixels wide so it doesn't look pixelated when you export at 1080p.

It helps to have two versions: a light (white) one for dark videos and a dark one for bright videos. If the logo has fine detail or long text, it won't be readable at watermark size; many brands use just the symbol or initials in the corner.

How layers work in Vaideo Editor

The timeline has stacked video layers: whatever is on a higher layer shows on top of what's below. The video goes on the main layer and the logo on another one above it. If you add the logo with its “+” button while the playhead is at the start, the editor puts it on a new layer above automatically; you can also create the layer with the “+” button on the timeline toolbar and drag it there.

An image comes in with a 5-second duration. To keep the logo on screen for the whole video, drag its right edge to the end or type the total length in the “Duration” field in the right panel. If your video has several clips, the logo stays put even when you cut or reorder what's underneath, because it lives on its own layer.

Size, position and transparency

With the logo selected, the “Transform” group has “Scale”, “Position” (X and Y, in pixels from the centre), “Rotation” and “Opacity”. The easiest way is to drag it into the corner in the viewer and pull a corner of its box to shrink it; then tweak the numbers so it sits exactly where you want.

An opacity of 60-80% makes the logo noticeable without covering the picture, like TV channel bugs. And the logo is yours: Vaideo adds no watermark to what you upload. If you also want text, hand-made captions or your own music, the full editor guide is at /en/cases/free-video-editor/.

Ideas to try

A subtle corner watermark

A small white logo, top right, at 70% opacity for the whole video.

A big logo at the start and end

Two copies of the logo (Ctrl+D): one big and centred for the first seconds and one at the end, with a fade.

A logo on an AI-made video

Create the video with Vaideo's AI, click “Open in the editor” and add your logo on a layer on top before exporting.

Step by step

  1. 1

Upload the video and the logo

Open app4.vaideo.org on your computer, go to “Media” (Medios) and click “Import files” (Importar archivos; free account). Upload the video and the PNG logo. The editor interface is in Spanish.

  2. 2

Place the video, then the logo on top

Add the video to the timeline. Move the playhead to the start (Home key) and click “+” on the logo: it lands on a layer above.

  3. 3

Stretch the logo to the end

Drag the logo's right edge to the end of the video, or type the total length in “Duration” (Duración).

  4. 4

    Set size, position and opacity

In “Transform” (Transformar), lower “Scale” (Escala), move it to a corner with “Position” (Posición) or by dragging in the viewer, and set “Opacity” (Opacidad) to 60-80%.

  5. 5

    Export as MP4

Click “Export” (Exportar). 1080p free; 2K and 4K with Unlimited. No Vaideo mark on your footage.

Tips that make the difference

  • ★Use a PNG with a transparent background; a JPG leaves a white box around the logo.
  • ★Leave a margin of about 40-60 pixels from the edge: flush against the corner it looks like a mistake.
  • ★On vertical videos for TikTok or Reels, avoid the bottom-right corner and the bottom strip: the app's buttons and caption cover them.
  • ★Lock the logo layer with the padlock once it's in place, so you don't move it by accident while editing.
  • ★If the logo pops in and out abruptly, give it a half-second fade “In” and “Out”.

Frequently asked questions

What format should the logo be?+

PNG with a transparent background, ideally 500 pixels wide or more. A JPG also works, but it will show with its rectangular background.

How do I keep the logo on for the whole video?+

Place the logo at the start on a layer above the video and drag its right edge to the end, or type the total length in the “Duration” field.

Can I make the logo semi-transparent?+

Yes, with the “Opacity” control in the “Transform” group. Around 60-80% usually works well as a watermark.

Can I animate the logo?+

There are no keyframes or animations. You can give it a fade in and out, or split it and put each piece in a different position.

Does Vaideo add its own watermark?+

Not on what you upload, on any plan. Only videos created with Vaideo's AI on the free plan carry the “vaideo.org” mark.

Can I add the logo from my phone?+

No. Vaideo Editor runs in your computer's browser and needs a screen at least 900 pixels wide.
