Why turn your articles into video
A good article already holds the hardest part of a video: the research, the facts and the order of ideas. Turning it into a short video gives the same work a second life on YouTube Shorts, Reels or TikTok, where the people who won't read 1,500 words will still watch 60 seconds.
It works especially well for company blogs, media and newsletters that publish regularly: every new post can also go out as a video without rewriting a script. And a video embedded in the article itself helps readers who'd rather watch than read.
What doesn't change is the quality of the source: a muddled article makes a muddled video. The ones that work best have one clear central idea, concrete facts and an intro-body-conclusion structure.
What Vaideo does with the link
When you paste the URL, Vaideo downloads the page, separates the article text from everything else (menus, ads, comments) and collects the title and images. Before generating you can hit “Preview” to check what it read: title, text length and images found.
The script rewrites the article with your own ideas, facts and conclusions, in the original order and without adding information that isn't in the text. It doesn't copy sentences verbatim: it summarises and adapts to the pace of a narrated video. If the article is long, it keeps the main ideas and condenses the rest; the longer the video you choose, the more detail fits.
The article's images are spread across the scenes with zoom and pan movement. If there aren't enough, Vaideo fills in with free stock photos or, if you turn on “Fill gaps with AI images”, generates the missing ones. On top go the AI voice narration and the captions.
Fine-tune it in Vaideo Editor, free
When the video is ready you can download it as is or hit “Open in the editor”. Vaideo Editor opens it in separate tracks (video, voice and captions) so you can trim scenes, fix a caption, change text or add your own clips, audio or images, and export a new MP4. The editor runs in the browser and is free.
It's most useful for what the AI can't know: the exact name of a product, a figure you've updated or your brand's logo at the end.
Rights and limits
Ideally, convert your own articles. If you use other outlets' copy, the video summarises it in different words, but you should credit the source and not present someone else's work as yours. The article's images keep whatever rights they had at the source: if they aren't yours, replace them in the editor or turn on AI images.
Vaideo reads public pages: blogs, news sites, Medium or the web version of a newsletter. It can't read content behind a login or a paywall, or PDFs. Narration is in English or Spanish, with one AI voice per language.

Tips that make the difference
- ★Pick articles with one clear central idea: the video inherits their structure.
- ★Hit “Preview” before generating: if the text comes out short, the site may be blocking the read.
- ★For long posts, raise the length or make a series of videos by section.
- ★If the article has few or generic images, turn on AI images.
- ★Embed the video in the article itself and link the article from the video.

Frequently asked questions
Which articles can I turn into a video?+
Any public page: blog posts, news, Medium or the web version of a newsletter. It doesn't work with content behind a login, paywalled pages or PDFs.
Does it copy the article text?+
No. The script rewrites the article with the same ideas and facts, without verbatim sentences or information that isn't in the original. Still, review the result before posting.
Does it use the article's images?+
Yes, if you leave the option on. They're spread across scenes and, if there aren't enough, completed with stock photos or AI images. If you don't hold the rights, turn it off or replace them in the editor.
Can I edit the video afterwards?+
Yes. Hit “Open in the editor” and Vaideo Editor opens it in video, voice and caption tracks to trim, fix or add your own files. The editor is free.
How long is the video?+
You choose: from 30 seconds to 10 minutes depending on the plan (Free up to 30 s, packs up to 5 min, Unlimited up to 10 min). The longer it is, the more of the article fits.
In which languages?+
Narration can be in English or Spanish, with one natural AI voice per language.
How much does it cost?+
Free: 1 video a day up to 30 s in 720p, watermarked. One-time packs that never expire (5 videos for €5, 15 for €12, 40 for €25): each video up to 5 min in 1080p with no watermark. Unlimited (€39/month): unlimited videos (fair use) up to 10 min, no queue, with direct YouTube upload and AutoPilot. Each converted article counts as one video.
